Michael Treschow talks about the grant and they story behind:

What is the purpose of the Grant?
The Grants ambition is to help and motivate creative design students to take on higher education. The scholarship was, in collaboration with SVID (Swedish Industrial Design Foundation), introduced 2003 and has been awarded 16 times to exciting designers, who continued their studies on ”Master level”.

Whats the story behind it?
I have all my professional life been fascinated by ” design and design thinking” and  their importance on business development. Design thinking/creativity will be needed even more to be prepared in a changing world with so many new tasks. I want to contribute to this preparedness.

Who’s it for?
You, who have design thinking/design-interest and want to study more from your bachelor exam are most welcome to apply to the scholarship.

How does it work?
After qualified jury work, where former scholars are involved, the ambition is to hand out and honor the recipient at an exciting occasion , where design thinking , gladly innovative and pleasurable makes itself reminded. The scholar shall count on a scholarship value of at least 100 000 SEK.
